Visual artist of the Anthropocene
While humanity gets anthropocentered, the rest of the living is banally weakened and decimated.
While I bathe in an abundance of trivia, the essentials fail me: time, a healthy and prosperous natural and relational environment.
While I must respect private goods, common goods are plundered and degraded.
It's in these gaping societal rifts that my art takes root.
It's a revolt. Savage, rude, furious, to shake off the yoke of a mortiferous economic system.
It's a scream. Vibrant, raw, deep, to pierce the deafening noise of a society which, intoxicated by its power, has lost the sense of proportion.
Ingredients :
1 kg of wood
500g of wax
100ml of gesso
50ml of acrylic paint
7 big emotions: fear, sadness, anger, joy, astonishment, admiration, disgust
8-9 nails and screws
3 tablespoons of societal issues
1 pinch of detachment
Preparation :
Mince the emotions, and brown them in some solitude.
Disgorge the rebellion by sawing the wood, hitting the nails and modeling the wax.
Poor some with gesso, paint and affliction.
Let simmer for a few nights.
Serve hot on a salad of ironic words.
